Alper Yakın is a guitarist and composer whose work bridges microtonal music, flamenco, classical guitar, and contemporary forms. He studied music composition and guitar in Istanbul, Madrid, Jerez, Umbria, and Vienna, developing a musical language shaped by Mediterranean traditions and experimental approaches. He has also worked as a musician and orchestra member at TRT (Turkish Radio and Television). Yakın is a multiple award recipient of the International Microtonal Guitar Competition (2020, 2021, 2023).

He has worked closely with internationally renowned musicians such as Tolgahan Çoğulu, Aydın Esen, Karlheinz Essl, Rafael Riqueni, and Kamran İnce, and has performed at major international festivals and cultural institutions including the Istanbul Jazz Festival, Musikverein Vienna, Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna, Essl Museum, and Kultursommer Wien.

His performances — solo or with his bands — unfold as an epic musical journey from Anatolia to Andalusia, tracing the shared heritage of Mediterranean cultures.
